Final Comments on the Old Testament and Testimony

Lesson Notes:
Finale of the Old Testament
This is not the final word on the Old Testament for there will yet be others who will offer their insights and understanding. This only marks the conclusion of my contribution and the end of our journey together regarding the writings of the Old Testament, its messages and application for our day. It has been a wonderful journey for me aided by those whom I have included in this writing. I owe a great debt of gratitude to those who have shared their insights regarding the Old Testament and made it available through their talks, papers and books. I hope I have given them recognition through the numerous footnotes. Their words motivated mine. This is my contribution to the continuing growing collection regarding the Old Testament.
I want to also express my appreciations to a special friend who first encouraged me to make this work available to others. When we discussed the option of the internet, it was through his expertise that it happened. While I alone am responsible for this work, including its errors, without his participation, it would have been just another folder on my hard disc. Thanks, Jeff.
I have personally benefited from the preparation and writing of this material. Through its writing I have increased my witness of God and know that He lives and guides us as we seek his assistance. I know He is my Father as well as Yours. He loves us and wants to bless us. Jesus Christ is His Only Begotten Son in the flesh. He, acting under the direction of the Father, stood at the helm of this marvelous work called the Old Testament. He served as the direct link between the Prophets of the Old Testament and His Father. Nothing He did or said as the pre-mortal Christ was done without the express approval of His Father, including the exercise of His power and authority.
God the Father, through His Son Jesus Christ, directs His work yet today through His living prophets who receive their word, through the Holy Ghost, for us. In this world with the storms of wickedness ever increasing, they have not nor ever will they forsake us, even if we turn away from them. All the scriptures or the words of the Father and the Son have not yet been written. The Old Testament was just a beginning. There is more.
My purpose for preparing this work has been increase my understanding of the scriptures and then to better implement these truths in my daily life. It continues to be a work in progress. Thanks for sharing this journey with me. I hope you enjoyed your experience as much as I have in presenting it.
